Next.js

Next.js development agency

Next.js gives you pages that load almost instantly and that search engines can read in full, while still behaving like an app where you need it. We use it for sites that have to rank, content-heavy sites with a headless CMS, and products that mix public pages with a logged-in area.

Who it's for

When Next.js makes sense

  • Your React single-page app isn't getting indexed properly by Google.
  • Your marketing team wants a fast site but still needs to publish without a developer.
  • Your product needs public landing pages and an app dashboard in one codebase.

If your team mainly edits pages and doesn't need app features, a well-built WordPress site may be the simpler choice.

What we build

Next.js work we take on

Marketing and content sites

Static generation with incremental updates, so pages are fast and still change when you publish.

Headless CMS setups

Sanity, Strapi, Contentful or WordPress as the editing back end, with Next.js serving the pages.

Hybrid apps

Public pages, sign-in and dashboards in one project, sharing components and styles.

Migrations

Moving from Create React App, Gatsby or a slow WordPress theme while keeping your URLs and rankings.

SEO done properly

Metadata, structured data, sitemaps and image optimisation built into the templates, not added later.

Already on React?

If your app sits behind a login, plain React may be all you need.

Hosting

Where your site runs

Vercel is the quickest to set up and handles scaling for you. AWS or your own server takes more setup but can cost less at higher traffic. We explain the trade-off with real numbers for your expected traffic before you choose.

Project considerations

What affects time and cost

  • CMS choice and how many content types your editors need.
  • Templates and routes. Each distinct page template and dynamic route adds build time.
  • Migration scope. How many old URLs need mapping and how much content needs moving.

FAQ

Next.js questions

Is Next.js better for SEO than React?

For public pages, yes, because the full HTML is ready when Google arrives. Inside a login it makes little difference.

Can my team still edit content?

Yes, through the headless CMS. Editors never touch code.

Will a migration hurt our rankings?

Not if every old URL is redirected and titles, metadata and structured data carry over. We test all of this before launch.
